1. Purpose
The purpose of this Carbon Reduction Plan is to outline Amberside Accounting Ltd’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint in alignment with UK government targets and requirements for becoming a Crown Commercial Service (CCS) approved supplier. This plan aims to demonstrate the company’s dedication to environmental sustainability and compliance with best practices in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

2. Scope
This plan applies to all Amberside Accounting Ltd operations, including office facilities, business travel, procurement processes, and employee engagement initiatives. It covers both direct and indirect emissions, reflecting our holistic approach to carbon reduction.

3. Commitment to Net Zero
Amberside Accounting Ltd commits to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2030. Interim targets include a 20% straight line reduction in emissions per employee per year until 2030, in line with the UK government’s Net Zero Strategy.

4. Emissions Baseline
A comprehensive baseline assessment of emissions has been conducted, covering:

Scope 1: Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources (e.g., office heating).

Scope 3: Other indirect emissions, including business travel, supply chain, and waste management.
